Fall decoration ................

Well I'm back . I needed a new door decoration, so here is a pic of what I came up with . I got tired of the scarecrow standing around all the time, supported by his bamboo pole . So-o-o-o-o I thought he needed a rest and I plopped him into a sitting position on my big grapevine wreath . I wired him onto the wreath and took fall flowers and leaves and added to his side and brought his arm around them like he was holding them . I stapled his hat back in the front and hot glued a sunflower over the staple . That way you can see his face better . And after rummaging around in my stash I found the little crow and hot glued him on .

I know alot of peole like fall, but I do not like fall, I never have liked fall. It is sad to me , to see the leaves dying and falling off. I am a spring person for sure. And I don't like winter any better either. Boy , I sound like scrooge don't I ?

Sometimes I think I should of been born on an island somewhere !

Hi, friend...I am sooooo glad to hear that someone else DOESN'T LIKE FALL....me, either. I love summer and I love winter but spring and fall...nope. I don't care for fall colors, at all and, out here in West Texas, our springs are full of dust and sand storms.
I usually try to have a fallish looking wreath on my porch but that is the extent of it. I do plan to stain a few gourds this yr for my mantle but that's it....
love, bj

Your wreath is cute, but I hate fall too. Seems it only lasts a day or two, then we get a cold rainy season, everything turns brown and depressing and then winter comes. I love the first snowfall, and I LOVE Christmas, but summer is MY season! I will be sad to see it go soon.

Your scarecrow looks great....I'm also a spring person...I love the spring colors....we do not have the beautiful fall season here in California I guess that's why fall is just fall here....but when I go back east, this year Maine, the colors are just breath taking...Fabulous.....But I know what you mean.
Hugs,
Mo :-)

Oh Theresa, how I DO love fall! And Spring! I think the seasons should be changed...Spring starts February 1st, thru June 30th. Then Summer can be the month of July. Fall would begin Aug 1st and last thru January 31st !
*wink*...that is my opinion!
Glad you are back! Hope the Gandson got all settled in without any traumas.

I think for someone who doesn't like fall you did a remarkable job creating that decoration. I like fall. I like the smell in the air. I like that the weather is cooler. I like the fall holidays. There are parts that I don't like too!

take care,
Dawn

What a cute idea you had for your wreath. Well, I have to say that I'm a fall girl at heart...it's my favorite time of year. Falls in Michigan are always so beautiful and I hate the hot, humid summers here. But I do know what you mean about everything dying. I just look at it as a resting time because everyting comes back in the spring.

Well no one will ever know you don't like fall with that cute wreath on your door! I love the feeling of fall but by November I get sad because I dread the months of January and February!
Have a wonderful day!!!

What a great door decoration. Very fall like.

You would love AZ, we really don't have fall in the Phoenix area. It stays hot until the end of October and then we have a very short winter.

Barb

You're entitled to have your favorite season. Spring is my favorite, too. But, I like autumn - it's my number two.

The wreath looks great.
