From one pumpkin to another!!!!!!!

A woman asked a co-worker, "What is it like to be a Christian?"

The co-worker replied, "It is like being a pumpkin.God picks you from the patch, brings you in, and washes all the dirt off of you. Then He cuts off the top and scoops out all the yucky stuff.

He removes the seeds of doubt, hate, and greed.Then He carves you a new smiling face and puts His light inside of you to shine for all the world to see."



This was passed on to me by another pumpkin. Now it's your turn to pass.

I liked this enough to send it to all the pumpkins in my patch.

Not doin nothin ! .............

That's exactly what I have been doing......nothing . I did stop at a yard sale the other day and almost froze my hiney off ! LOL . The little coffee pot will probably be turned into a light and I will sell it at my favorite store. I like it but it goes with nothing in my house.
I love the candlelabra, I have been wanting one of these,just paid a dollar for it.The pot was a dollar and the canister was too. I will probably make the canister into a light also.
I can't believe it has been 2 weeks since my last post. I don't know what is wrong with me unless it is the changing of seasons. You see I am not a winter person, I absolutely hate wintertime.I guess I am alittle depressed.My mother has been sick too and that has had me worried. I can tell my mom is breaking. It makes me so sad.I cant' get her to go the doctor like she should, and when she goes she want tell them them what is really wrong with her.
I dread the holidays too because I am just not able to do all of the cooking I used to do and no one seems to want to take the torch from me. Sniff,sniff .
I bet you didn't know you were stumbling into a pity party when you stopped in here today, did ya ?
I'll get better and snap out of it soon.I usually do.I need to stop and count my blessings, that always does the trick for me.

This is my pizza casserole . It is so good and so-o-o-o-o easy ! And you know me , I love easy !

Oh yummy this is good . Serve with a salad and call it done ! Ok here is the recipe below. Now I warn ya ; I don't measure stuff if I make it alot . After a while I just quit using the recipe, LOL .


PIZZA CASSEROLE


Brown about a pound of hamburger or chuck with a large cut up onion and green peppers.

Drain off the fat.
Stir in a small can of drained mushrooms.

Stir in 1 jar of pizza sauce .

Take 1 can of the large flaky canned biscuits.
I just take my hand and flatten them out as much as I can.Because I am too lazy to get out the rolling pin, LOL !

Spray a 9x12 inch baking dish with Pam.
Line the dish with the biscuits.
Pour the burger mixture over the biscuits.

Top with chopped black olives,then sprinkle mozzarella and cheddar cheese all over the top.

Bake on 375 degrees for about 30 minutes or until the biscuits are brown on the bottom of the dish.

Be creative ! Put into this dish whatever you like on your pizza. You can't mess it up ! Hope you enjoy it !

Have you ever eaten sorghum ? ? ? ...................

The pics aren't in order so bear with me kids ! The pics were taken at a Mennonite communuty we visit alot . Here is some of their baked goods for sale.
I remember my grandmother saying that many times her mother would call them to the table to eat and all they would have is sorghum and cornbread to eat . Because that is all they had. You can put sorghum on pancakes, biscuits, or cornbread . My hunny bunny likes it over a bowl of cheerios.Yuck, not me ! But I did try it over the cornbread . I took the hot cornbread, put some butter on top, and poured the sorghum over it . Guess what ? It was GOOD !
To me sorghum has a strange tangy taste to it.I think it is one of those things you have to acquire a taste for.They sell a bread that I buy all the time and it has sorghum in it. It is very good also.
This is the finnished product bottled up and ready to sale.
The sugar cane juice is boiling.The foam is skimmed off .

This fella is feeding the sugar cane through that mechanism .See the stalks of sugar cane beside him . Notice the crushed cane laying below the mechanism.Can you see the juice running out of the spout, it's on the side.It's running into the covered barrel .

And these big boys walk around and around turning the mechanism that is crushing the cane .

My Little Brandi ..............

Today is my little Brandi's birthday ! She is 18 today. I could just cry, where in the world did all those years go ?
I have 4 grand daughters and Brandi is the oldest . I had 2 sons , so when we found out we were having a grand daughter we were on cloud nine !
