Here's a peek of my mantle..................

I just can't seem to get it right this year. The old buck sits up here all the time and I just scooted him back a little bit.I think it still needs something. I just remembered I have some pip berry garland. I might put it in there. And then again I might just jerk it down and throw it all in a bag and throw it out in the garage.Gee, do I sound like the grinch or what ? LOL .

I think it looks great Theresa. Maybe just a bit more sparkle? Some tiny lights or silvery or glisteny accents?

Theresa, get out of bed and come over. You are my winner from yesterday's give-a-way. You have two sets of ornaments to choose from. The tree is for the last day. Send me your address by e-mail soon.

Don't touch the mantel. I think it is beautiful. I adore the deer peeking out. He is so handsome. The star just sets it off.

Christmas hugs to you today...Jeanne

You entire Christmas Blog is beautiful! I think your mantle is fine as is, but what do I know? Please come look at my inept decorating any time you feel like you do when you wrote this post. lol

BTW: I mentioned you on today's post.

Please don't give up, Theresa. I think it looks beautiful. I love how the "old buck" is sitting in front of the star and the greenery and fruit & flowers around.

J just walked by and I showed it to him. He likes it too!

Have a great weekend.

I think it looks very nice. I really like the natural feeling of it. How about tucking in some greenery flocked with snow. I think it would add a little more drama. Hugs, Terrie

Theresa, I like it, too! I like lots and lots of accents in a garland, and it looks like you're on your way, Tuck some gold balls in there or silver.. which ever looks best... for a pop of sparkle. I love the deer head and all the natural stuff in front. Looking good to me! :-)

XO,

Sheila

I think you are well on your way! it is lovely...And I agree...don't give up!

Perhaps you need to get some more sprays interjected into the garland to play off the way the bucks antlers sprawl out?

I certainly believe decor, as I tell all my clients...is SO personal...you must be the final decision maker!

But I feel confident you can create a masterpiece!

Well I think it looks GREAT!! I know how hard mantlescaping can be! It's kind of like a good pie crust..looks simple...but is deceptively difficult to do well! I'm still just staring at mine and wondering what.. if ANYTHING will make it look OK? Lol! And Theresa we seem to love all the same things! I'm almost allergic to buying retail! Are you too?*winks* Vanna
