Sweet momma and plates ..................

I am putting this post up early for Tablescape Thursday which by the way is hosted by "Naps On The Porch".Make sure you click on the logo to your right in my sidebar to go see more tablescapes. My sweet momma was shopping in Marshall's the other day and ran upon these sweet dishes. And she thought well Theresa will surely have to have these ! Lord have mercy yes ! The poor little thing has no dishes you know , LOL . They came boxed in a pretty blue lined box of 4 . Sorry I forgot to take a pic of the box . She bought me the dessert plates and the bowls and I went back and got the rest . The awesome amazing thing is how much these little jewels cost. 4 pieces in a box for 2.99 a box ! ! I got this whole table full of dishes for just $12.00. So there is no way we could pass this deal up !
I love this big pitcher. I got it at Cracker Barrel several years ago. Oh and I have found a small pitcher to match the dishes and a little dish to match that looks like a leaf with a handle on it . I found these a few days ago.
Now on to the napkins and tablecloth. I found these at a yard sale for a steal of a deal ! $4.00 ! They are handmade . I wished I had taken a pic of the cloth without the dishes sitting on top of it. But you can tell enough maybe. I like to do embroidery, but I don't like to do this kind , I don't like to do all of those cross stitches. But somebody had alot of time in them.

Theresa, I love your bargain linens. They are beautiful, but I am with you. Cross stitch is boring but I love the look. Your table is beautiful. Your dishes look like a million dollars. Your mama taught you right because you know how to make a budget look very expensive. You go girl. I love it all. Your mom must be a real sweetie to think of you when she found those lovely blue and white dishes. BIG smile here.

Love ya, Jeanne

Theresa I love that table. The linens are my favorite. Is that crepe myrtle in the center? I hesitate to buy a lot of dishes, as I have no place to store them all. Thank you so much for your thoughts of my daughter. She went to MD today, surgery was a month yesterday. Today she had all the tubes removed. She is eating now and feeling so much stronger.

I especially love that table cloth with the cross stitch in blue. Everything is just beautiful. I think it takes practive in tablescaping as everything does. I have never seen that pattern of blue and white dishes before. Just lovely!

Hi Theresa! Oh, what a sweet little mama! I love your blue and white dishes - they're lovely. Now you know I'm lovin' those gorgeous linens. The work is so pretty. Can you believe someone would get rid of these? Good for you getting them since you appreciate the work that goes into the embroidery. I used to do lots of cross stitch and I think that's why I'm blind now! LOL
Beautiful table!
Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)

Now you've done it!!! I have to go to Marshall's now to see if I can find those plates. Darn you. Oh, I guess it should really be your mom I'm mad at. lol.

I have that same Cracker Barrel pitcher. I got it for my birthday a few years back.

Lovely table -- but I am just stopping to tell you that I have nearly identical napkins, embroidered the same way, and also a similar tea cloth. They must have been a very popular pattern way back when!
