Oh My Gosh, that cake smells wonderful, I can smell the apples now. I can't wait to try the recipe. I wish we lived close to an apple orchard, or a place that sold fresh ones. The store bought ones just do not have the taste. I haven't had a good apple since we lived in Oklahoma, and I had my own Granny Smith apple tree. Loved going out and picking one or two or three. Thanks for sharing. Please stop by and say hi. Country hugs, Sherry

Hi Thersa, your apple cake looks sooooo good. I have a recipe and I haven't made it in forever. I am going to try yours. I really love to bake. I love this time of year and your apples look wonderful. Would you say they taste like a 'Macintosh' apple? I do not care for 'Delicious' apples at all. I saw some beautiful apple trees on the way to Asheville yesterday. The apples looked ready to pick.

I'm glad you like my post and I know you love that cobalt blue. Me too. On Thurs. I am posting more of Brett's home. Come back.

Have a happy apple cake day. I so want a piece too. I trust honey bunny's taste!!!!!

Love, Jeanne

Honey, I am working on Pay it Forward gifts too. That's okay, when it comes it is an unexpected surprise. Did I see mention of cobalt blue? I have a collection of tiny bottles in my southern exposure window. I love the colors it spritz out. Think I'll try the cake. Not much into cooking these days. HH likes to cook . No cakes though, just plain ole meat and potato man.

Hi Theresa, did I tell you I love your header?

Yes, canning is hard. I am headed to my sister's house again this morning. MORE tomatoes. This time I will make some of that sauce for me. My sister is so wonderful to share.

She has friends that bring her bushels of all kinds of veggies. She is raising her two small grands 6, 8. and her son, their daddy, lives there too. The mama is a very bad person and lost custody of her children. A long sad story. She isn't allowed to be near them. It all just breaks my heart. My sister is 72 and she works sooooo hard. I would do anything for her.

Well I didn't mean to share this, but it is good to share sometimes. I know you are a dear person. We all have our crosses to bear don't we? Have a happy day today my friend.

Love ya, Jeanne

Happy Labor Day Weekend, Theresa!

I am so far behind on my blog posts and reading I WILL NEVER catch up. I've gotten a computer virus, had to put it in shop and am using a loaner. I have no picture program installed yet and I can't seem to get ahead nowadays!! What is up with all that??? Too much to do and too little time!!

That fresh apple cake makes my mouth water. I love 'em! I have my mom's recipe that I use when I make them but I am certainly going to try yours next!

Thanks for sharing that recipe. Stay safe!
