Come on in and look at what I got ......................

Well I was coming down the road last Saturday and spotted these items at a yard sale . Oh but I was GOOD ! As I passed by I thought ,oh that is some cute good pieces
to redo, but they probably want too much for them . I was so proud of me for passing by, LOL .
Have you ever heard of the saying, that curosity killed the cat ? Well I guess you know what happened next don't ya ? LOL . My car went into auto pilot or yardsale take over and I did a big apple right there in the 4 lane highway. So back I went lickety split ! Oh how I love a good yardsale . Oh yes I do !
I pull up and hop out and ask the lady how much is the little night stand and the vanity dresser. She says it's FREE ! ! ! ! I just about go into cardiac arrest right there , I couldn't breathe ,couldn't speak , almost passing out......now I know some of you know the feeling I am talking about , don't you hm-m-m-m ? LOL .

When I got my witts back about myself all I could say is FREE ? ? ? She said yes,I am tired of foolin with this stuff, you can have anything here you see free.

So these little pieces came home with me . They sure are dirty. So I brought them home and put them in our dirty old catch all barn. The middle of the dresser lifts up and there is a mirror and a little drawer space. I am thinking of painting them and putting them in a resale shop.Or I might put them in a yardsale of my own. And then I might keep them ,who knows. But I sure don't know where I would put them.LOL.

What color do you think I should paint them ? I am thinking white or black .

Whatever you decide to do with these pieces, be certain to blog about it. I want to see Part 2 of this story.

You're a lucky girl. They look to be in great shape. If they were mine, I think I'd paint them black. Can't wait to see them finished.

I have one just like it! It was my daughters when she was a child and I couldn't bear to get rid of it. I have the original color but now you have me thinking......what other color would be nice?

FREE!! I had to read that line twice. What a deal! I love them and I would probably paint them white.

Really, what a deal!
My suggestion is white + gold (handles).

Good luck!

Hello...lucky girl:)

WOW..FREE...the best deal in town is when it's free!!
I'm thinking white, or cream seems to be selling at the HQ shop...
Also...I'm so glad that your test came back perfect..no cancer!!! and I also read that your Mom is fine and one son has a partime job...God is providing :)

I was so delighted to see you had decided to follow me! Thank you for the honor! I see we like all the same things, as most of us on here do. Isn't this a wonderful and warm community of women? :) I also see we have had cancer scares in common. I had to smile when I read how alike our mothers are...or were as I have lost mine.
I also am anxious to get on with a project. Painting my dining room set. I have had it many years and refuse to give it up. It resides in my garage and I am determined to redo it. I cannot wait to get well and back to my life!
Black is also the color I am going. It's so exciting to see the change color makes in things.
I am looking forward to getting to know you!

Hi Teresa...yes, I stop by your blog often but with dial up internet it is difficult for me to leave comments due to time it takes to pull up your blog. I am glad to see that you will be participating in the Pay it Forward gifting. You and I are so much alike, it will be fun personalizing your gifts. I will be emailing you to get your mailing address later on. I have to decide just what I am going to be making and getting that all done. I do love that FREE find of yours! I am actually jealous--LOL I had a friend that had a bedroom suite like that and always loved it!! As far as what color I would paint it--I see it painted in a beautiful soft aqua blue with a white Pearlized glaze--that would be to die for!! But, whatever color you choose, I am sure it will be gorgeous. I can't wait to see it finished. Thanks for sharing and thanks for your comments to my blog.

Hi Theresa, you are a lucky girl. I love the word 'free' and have found great things that way from time to time. I think white would be just right. Very cottage looking. I know what you mean about where to put them. I have no space at all for furniture. Make some money on them girl.

Have a wonderful day today.

Love...Jeanne

That looks like the furniture I had in my room when I was growing up. Loved it. Still have it. I use a dresser on my porch to hold gardening things and seeds. The tall dresser is in the garage while I figure out what to do with it. I have the twin bed head and foot board too!
