I need your prayers please ........................

I have to have a CT scan today at 1:00pm EST. This is just routine. They will be looking for cancer in my liver and lungs. Please pray to God that they get a negative report back . Every time I have a scan it causes much anxiety for my family and of course for me also. It doesn't hurt, but last time I had a bad experience. They had to use a small needle for my IV and they put it in my hand . They had trouble finding a vein. So when they shot the dye or whatever it's called through that little needle, it about killed me . I am not a baby, but it felt like they laid my hand on a railroad track and let the train run over it. I have had 2 babies and this cancer surgery from hell and I never had pain like that .
It will be a week before I know the results. I am now 3 1/2 years cancer free. That is wonderful because esophagus cancer is a beast. Most patients , I think it is 20%, don't make it to the 5 year mark after surgery, without a reoccurance.
But please remember me in prayer because I know without a doubt that is what has brought me this far. God brought me to this and he will see me through it .

UPDATE: All went well with the scan this time. It only took 2 sticks. Now for the results. Please pray for a negative.I want to thank all of you who are praying for me.I appreciate it so much. Ya'll are fantastic!

Theresa - my prayers are definitely with you today and in this coming week. I hope the procedure goes well today and that it is a pleasant experience. The waiting is the hardest part, but try to just block that out of your head. I read a quote once that I always liked and want to share with you. "Worry is payment for a debt you may never owe". And isn't there a Bible verse about when two or more are gathered together in prayer, your prayers will be answered - or something like that. God Bless You, dear Theresa.

Oh Theresa! Of course my prayers will be with you!! A new year is just around the corner and I feel it in my heart...that you are a fighter and a survivor and a remarkable woman all around...so it WILL be a year of glorious health for you!! For that needle thing...I cringed just reading that! I had an MRI last year, after 5 attempts of 'sticking' me, the Anesthesiologist finally was able to get it right...in my hand! I don't know about that pain, but I would take it from you, by osmosis...OK?

I stopped in too late, but I prayed for you anyway. Since I have had chemo, they can never find my veins. They put the needle in, then try to find the vein. Since they were putting dye into your vein, I cannot imagine the pain you experienced. I pray that you will still be cancer free.

Gentle hugs,
Cheryl

Theresa, my dear sweet friend. I have been praying for you since you told me about your upcoming scan. I also hope you did not have to suffer with the dye this time. I am so annoyed that you have to wait so long for results. I bet it is the holidays holding everything up. I am asking my church to pray for you too.
Prayers work Theresa.

I'll be waiting right along with you my dear.

Wishing you a healthy and happy New Year with all things good in 2009.

Oh, darlin', I am just beside myself that I am just now finding this...but, I am praying for you as I am typing this comment.
I so know how you feel with each checkup...my husband, Bill, has had many major surgeries to remove life-threatening cancers...had one testicle removed, one kidney and part of the other one removed, and that other male one (can't think of the name now), anyway it was removed. Bill has never had to take chemo or any drugs...all cancer has been removed by surgery. However, with ea yearly checkup, we all wring our hands and pray for NEGATIVE reports.
I do not remember where I got the ribbon...I will search it, tho. Please take mine if it will help....
I will pray hard for you...
love, bj

OOO, it was Bill's prostate that was removed also....
