Now Don't Laugh ...................

I know you are probably wondering why in the world I bought that broken rusty old shovel ! But check back in a few days and I will show you !
I thought the old looking shoe was so cute , I will put a flower in it . We have a breezeway between our house and the garage . There is only gravel between them . We are going to make a porch between them . My hunny bunny likes primitive stuff . And since he let's me have my way on all the other decorating, I am going to do that breezeway porch in primitives for him .
Oh I forgot to tell ya , we went on the big yard sale yesterday for a few miles. That is where I got the things in these pics . Hunny bunny also bought a church pew yesterday . It is about 6 foot long , we go pick it up this evening and I will show you a pic tomorrow of it .

The little chest of drawers is a very sturdy piece of furniture . It has 5 drawers in it and is about 4 ft. tall , 2 1/2 ft wide and 2 1/2 deep . I have got to make up my mind what color I am going to paint it ; I am thinking maybe ecru , black or pink , what do ya'll think ?
Come back tomorrow , because I have more to show you .

Everyone have a blessed day !

Theresa, did you just post your flea finds. I can't believe you haven't had comments. Everyone loves you and your posts, Most of all me. smile I am in Raleigh NC right now and I am kid free. I'll miss them, but I am ready for quiet and no one asking, what's to eat???

I like primitive too and with your talent for making something out of nothing, I can't to see what you will do with your finds. The pew bench sounds great. I love those benches.

Love you. Jeanne

I am looking forward to seeing how you use your yardsale finds.

I've heard about the world's longest yardsale! It must be fun.

I'm not laughing at your shovel or your chest of drawers, but I must admit I am chuckling over that shoe! I was wondering what you might find at the LONG yard sale. I was by myself for a little while today hoping I'd see a yard sale while I was out, but I didn't!

take care,
Dawn

Girl I started laughing the minute I saw the shovel...I love old rusty garden tools and I have an old nail keg barrel with some of daddy's old garden tools from years ago in it...well a couple of years ago he was doing a project for me in the back yard and she said he needed a garden rake...I go to the shed to get him one and when I come back he is using the old one from the barrel...I grab my heart like Fred Sanford and scream..he just calmly looked up and said "baby I used this old thing for years ..I hardly think one more time is gonna hurt it!" lol lol Oh and I also have a church pew that was given to us when an old church was remodeling and it is like 12 ft long and we keep it in the carport and set on it when we are out doing yard work...the first time I sat on it I was so overcome with emotion of the thought of all the prayers that had been prayed on that pew thru the years that I cried like a baby. Thanks for coming by girl...have a great night!

I would never laugh at anyone's fabulous finds! I've had some pretty off the wall ones myself, but I always seem to turn them into something someone would like.

I've been to the Longest Yardsale before and I loved it, but it was sooooo hot! I wish they would have it in the spring when it's not so warm, but I guess we would have to contend with the winds and rain then! Oh well...

Love that shoe! I definitely going to take a trip over to visit you and go yard sale-ing! Shipping the goodies back may pose a problem! The church pew sounds pretty amazing too - just think what a great excuse that is to make/buy/borrow a whole lot of gorgeous cushions (US pillows) to display along its length. Pleased you liked the Paris pics - posted some of Italy too. Lots of love Eleanor

Hi Theresa,
First off that shoe, I have one just like it. I was taking my kids to school, that was about 20 yrs ago and there is was just lying in the street. I have had it ever since with a pink africian violit in my kitchen green house window. One of my treasures.
Your chest will look great any one of the colors. Right now I'm into the color Granny Green !!! There is just something cozy about that color.
I have already painted the mirror a cream color (a lot of work). Going to put it up today. Pictures this weekend.
Have a wondrful day my friend.
Hugs,
Mo :-)
